Balsa is a local marketplace for discovering and arranging second-hand surfboard sales. These terms explain the basic rules for using the service.
Balsa helps buyers find second-hand surfboards and helps sellers list boards with structured surf-specific details. The platform introduces buyers and sellers; it is not a checkout, delivery, escrow or payment service.
You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and secure. Sellers are responsible for listing boards honestly, including condition, repairs, dings, price, location and photos.
Do not list boards you do not own or do not have permission to sell.
Buyers are responsible for inspecting a board before buying. Check dimensions, volume, fin setup, repairs, pressure dents and any other details that matter to you before payment.
Balsa does not process payments in v1. Balsa does not hold funds in escrow. Buyers and sellers arrange inspection, pickup and payment directly.
The intended v1 model is local arrangements and cash on pickup. Avoid deposits, remote payment pressure and shipping requests from people you do not trust.
Do not post fake listings, impersonate shops or sellers, harass other users, attempt scams, request unsafe payment methods, upload unlawful content or use Balsa to sell anything outside the intended marketplace scope.
Users can report suspicious listings, conversations or unsafe behaviour. Balsa may review, hide, remove or restrict content and accounts where needed to protect the marketplace.
Balsa is provided as-is while the v1 product is being tested. Final legal review may still be required before broad public launch.
